The 4 Different JGID User Levels

Understanding the different user levels in JGID is important for maintaining security, controlling access to sensitive information, and ensuring each team member only sees the features relevant to their role.

JGID has 4 main user levels:

User LevelAccess LevelKey Permissions
AdminFull AccessFull system access including users, permissions, pricing, qualifications, and account management
ManagerHigh AccessAccess to quotes, jobs, products, pricing, scheduling, and business management features
SupervisorLimited Operational AccessAccess to jobs, scheduling, and staff allocation, but restricted from pricing and quotes
EmployeeBasic AccessCan only view their own assigned jobs and calendar entries

Admin

The Admin account is the highest level of access in JGID.

Admins have unrestricted access to all system features and settings, including:

  • Users and permissions

  • Password management

  • Base pay rates

  • Qualifications and certifications

  • Quotes and pricing

  • Jobs and scheduling

  • Products and services

  • System configuration

Admins are also the only user type that can:

  • Create new users

  • Activate or deactivate users

  • Change other users’ access levels

  • Access sensitive personnel information

Important Warning

Admins can change their own access level.
If an Admin accidentally changes their account to a lower permission level, another Admin user will be required to restore Admin access.

Manager

The Manager user level is very similar to Admin, with one important restriction:

Managers cannot access or modify the Users section.

Managers can still:

  • Create and manage quotes

  • Manage jobs and schedules

  • View and edit pricing

  • Manage products and services

  • Access most Business Management System (BMS) features

Managers have full visibility of pricing, customer terms, and operational workflows.

This user level is ideal for office managers, operations managers, and senior coordinators who need strong operational access without full administrative control over users and permissions.

Supervisor

The Supervisor account has limited operational access focused mainly on job coordination and scheduling.

Supervisors can:

  • View and manage certain job features

  • Schedule jobs in the calendar

  • Allocate staff to jobs

  • Coordinate field operations

However, Supervisors typically:

  • Cannot access quotes

  • Cannot view pricing

  • Cannot see confidential customer commercial terms

  • Have restricted access to financial information

This user level is commonly used for leading hands, site supervisors, and field coordinators.

Employee

The Employee account is the most restricted user level in JGID.

Employees can generally only:

  • View their own assigned jobs

  • Access their personal calendar assignments

  • View information specifically authorised by Managers or Admins

Employees do not have access to:

  • Pricing

  • Quotes

  • Customer commercial information

  • Broader company schedules

  • User management

This ensures field staff only see the information relevant to their work.
